How Your Answer Is Made
- Composed under theological guidelines. An AI model (xAI's Grok) composes each answer under our instructions: grounded in Scripture, faithful to the convictions Protestants share, fair to every major view where faithful Protestants disagree, and never blending in other religions or New Age ideas.
- Scripture quoted exactly. Verses are drawn directly from the translation you select, never reproduced from the AI's memory.
- A two-step accuracy review. Before you see it, a second, independent AI model (from OpenAI) reviews the answer against the exact text of every passage it cites and corrects any sentence that misstates a verse, a person, or a tradition.
How Accurate Is It?
We test ourselves regularly, and we would rather tell you the truth than claim perfection. In our most recent evaluation, reviewers checked every Scripture reference, date, and attribution and found:
- Brief answers: no substantive errors in 36 answers.
- In Depth answers: about 1 in 9 contained a substantive error, usually a detail such as a wrong verse number or a view credited to the wrong teacher rather than a doctrinal error.
That is why every answer links to the Scripture itself. Please verify anything important in God's Word and with trusted teachers in your church.

Asked in September 2026 of the underlying models through their developer access, without our instructions or review. This is not a test of the ChatGPT or Grok apps, which add their own instructions and features. One of the 30 questions was left out of the error count because of a flaw in how we classified it. We have since corrected the issues found in our own answers.
How We Evaluate Our Answers
Our answers are evaluated by independent AI reviewers (Anthropic's Claude), each instructed to review as a theologian would, against a written standard of doctrinal fidelity, exegetical accuracy, and fairness to the historic Protestant traditions. Reviewers assess each response without knowing which system produced it, verifying every Scripture reference, historical claim, and attribution. Because these samples are necessarily limited, the figures above should be read as estimates rather than guarantees. We repeat these evaluations at regular intervals and publish what we find.
A substantive error is a misstatement of Scripture, a view attributed to the wrong person or tradition, a factual or historical inaccuracy, or a departure from the site's standards of doctrine and fairness. Minor matters of wording or emphasis are not counted.
Technology
Each answer is composed by xAI's Grok model under our theological and editorial guidelines, then independently reviewed by an OpenAI model against the exact text of every passage it cites. Scripture quotations are drawn directly from the Scripture API in the translation you select. The site is hosted with HostGator and served through Vercel. No personal data or conversation history is stored on our servers.
